A remote node allows a user to synchronize their wallet without running a daemon locally.

Public Node List

--daemon-address Location USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA Germany Germany Russian Federation

Using a Remote Node with simplewallet

Launch simplewallet with the --daemon-address parameter, for example

simplewallet --daemon-address

On Windows you can create a shortcut with the --daemon-address as a launch parameter.

You can also create a simple script to start the wallet using a public node.

Using notepad or notepad++ create a file within the same directory as the simplewallet.exe file.

You can name it what you like but for this example let's call it simplewallet-public-node-sync.cmd.

Edit the script and add the following. Insert the public node address of your choice.

@echo off
.\simplewallet.exe --daemon-address
